Jump Cutters was founded by two filmmakers, Todd Lehr and Katherine Engstrom. Todd and Katherine graduated from the University of California, San Diego where they studied film and media. After graduating, the two followed their passion for working on documentary films and later joined forces to create a video production house focusing on social issues in their community. They saw a need for high-end media production for organizations and individuals that normally could not afford the expense. This experience has led Todd and Katherine to work with every sector of their community, including children, seniors, mentally challenged and more. Our mission is to create socially conscious videos that engage audiences to the point of action!
Jump Cutters uses the latest in digital technology for all of our production and post-production services. Our industry standard, 3-chip digital cameras produce broadcast picture quality. We are fully equipped with top of the line sound equipment, including professional lavalieres and booms. We also offer 3-point lighting for indoor set-ups as well as a dolly with tracking for more high-concept shooting. All of our projects are edited using high end non-linear digital software and we can output to video, DVD, or CD-ROM.
